Welcome to George Long Elementary School

George Long Elementary Schoolásupports the Kindergarteners through 5th graders of the Grass Lake Community Schools District. The elementary building also houses theáLittle Warriors Pre-School and Daycare, which can be reached at 517-522-5650. Our school was extensively renovated and a new wing was added on iná2007. We enjoy large rooms, modern audio-visual equipment, and a cooperative staff committed to helping all of our students to succeed. Our instructional hours are 7:50 AM-3:11 PM. George Long Elementary Classroom Assignments Being Mailed August 14
Mrs. Clark will be mailing your 2017-2018 homeroom assignments for you to know who your child's classroom teacher is on Monday, August 14. Please look for it to show up in your mailbox next week. Classroom assignments will no longer be posted on the school doors. We are very excited to see you all August 21st at Back to School Night!
Hanna Alvarez Qualifies for USA World Twirling Team
Grass Lake members of the Saline Twirlettes Baton Twirling Team excelled this year in this summer's National Championships held at Notre Dame University. Mrs. Kulwicki Will Assume Responsibilities as GLHS Administrative Assistant
With the retirement of Mrs. O'Sullivan from her position as Grass Lake High School Administrative Assistant,áMrs. Laura Kulwickiáhas transferred to Grass Lake High School from a similar position at George Long Elementary School to handle the duties at GLHS. Mrs. Kulwickiáwill be well known to our GLHS students as she has been at the elementary level for many years. Mrs. Jena Tengmanáwill assume the administrative assistant role at George Long Elementary School, effective immediately.

B&G Landscape Creations Donates Another Tree
Once again B&G Landscape Creations has donated a tree in honor of our outgoing 5th grade class at George Long Elementary School, which will be our high school graduating class of 2024. B&G Landscape Creations has donated a tree every year for the past several years to commemorate each 5th grade class moving to the next level. Pictured is the entire 5th grade class with the tree with B&G owner Greg Cagney in the background. Thank you Mr. Cagney for your thoughtfulness. Mike Arbuckle Named George Long Elementary School's Dean of Students
Congratulations to long-time George Long Elementary School teacher Mike Arbuckle who was tonight hired by the Grass Lake Board of Education to become the school's full-time Dean of Students. We welcome Mike to this position as he continues to have a very positive impact on our students' lives as he always has, but in a different capacity.
